tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27 1977) is an former American football tight end who was a part of the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is thought to be one of the most important tight ends in the world. He holds the NFL's record in receiving yards as well as receptions for a tight end. He also ranks third in total receptions. Gonzalez's first 12 seasons were associated with the Kansas City Chiefs. In 1997, he was drafted as the 1st pick. In his five last seasons that he was with the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez quit in 2013 and was an analyst on football for NFL on Prime Video. He was previously with CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six first-team All-Pro honors. Gonzalez is famous for his stamina and rare fumbling. He was a regular in 272 regular season games, and only lost two fumbles on 1,327 touches. He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019.
